North Kensington includes some of the poorest wards in one of London’s richest boroughs.  It’s also where we find a cluster of locations to  accommodate a variety of public gatherings: A publicly owned boating centre that’s taught hundreds of RBKC kids to paddle over the years, a boaters’ “stop and shop” behind Sainsburys, and Kensal Green Cemetery, the UK’s first private cemetery and resting place for 250,000 souls.  All three sites potentially host programs to showcase the neighbourhood’s rich musical traditions.

Testing out the Stumpery’s first stump!
